Der Nachweis eines oligoklonalen IgG im Liquor ist empfindlicher als ein erhöhter IgG-Quotient zur Diagnose einer intrathekalen IgG-Synthese.
Beurteilung im Befundbericht:
Typ 1: Normaler Befund (polyklonal)
Typ 2: Oligoklonale Banden im Liquor
Typ 3: Oligoklonale Banden im Liquor, zus. identische Banden in Liquor und Serum
Typ 4: Identische oligoklonale Banden in Liquor und Serum
Typ 5: Monoklonale Banden in Liquor und Serum, IgG-Paraprotein
